California State University, Fresno
On February 12th, five of the Fresno State Nama Club students traveled to Tulare, CA to attend an Official National Agricultural Marketing Association reception held at the 52nd World Ag Expo. Fresno State students were greeted with warm welcomes as they met with official members and World Ag Expo executive staff. The students gathered around members to network and learn about their experiences in the association. After the reception, the students took a tour of the expo grounds. This allowed the students to see the variety of exhibits that were going to offered throughout the three days of the World Ag Expo. The Fresno State NAMA students enjoyed networking with members and were excited to see what the future held for them as collegiate members of the association.
Iowa State University
What a crazy semester it has been for students at Iowa State University. The marketing competition team is working diligently to get their plan ready to present in a few short weeks at NAMA Nationals. The mentorship program is continuing to provide students with great networking opportunities to learn about potential careers and more about the world of marketing. Monthly meetings are being held where we are discussing lots of valuable information and attending conferences such as the Young Professionals in Agriculture event where our members met top executives in an array of agricultural companies. The Iowa Professional NAMA Chapter is promoting their event and recruiting our own students to work or even participate in their philanthropy, Cold Run for Warm Meals. While our calendars tend to fill up, our students found time to attend our bowling/laser tag social at Perfect Games. It was a fun event had by all, but now it’s time to crack down and perfect our marketing plan for NAMA Nationals.
Michigan State University
Michigan State NAMA students have been relentlessly pushing through the cold weather to ensure the marketing plan is complete. Even the Sunday after spring break, students met to work on our product with fun brainstorming sessions for our product's name. We are ecstatic to have four of our brand new NAMA members on presentation and tech team! We can't wait for April to be able to present our product as well as see what other schools have been working on!
